Our story

Making seasonal eating simple for everyone.

Built on a simple belief: eating well shouldn't require a nutritionist, a big budget, or a complicated app. It just requires knowing what's ripe.

Why we built Ripely

Most people have no idea what's actually in season in the UK, and supermarkets give no indication. Strawberries in January look the same as June, but taste nothing like them, cost twice as much, and have fewer nutrients.

We built Ripely to bridge that gap. A free, practical tool that tells you exactly what British fruit is at its best right now, near you , and what to do with it.

Our approach to health information

Every nutrient explanation is written in plain English and aligned with NHS Eatwell principles. We favour whole-food sources over supplements wherever the evidence supports it, and we're careful to distinguish general education from personal medical advice.

Built in Bristol

Ripely is made in Bristol, in the South West of England, a corner of the country spoiled for orchards, hedgerows and farm shops. It's a small project, unfunded and ad-free, with a licence-fee model for institutional users.
